The Role

Zeligate is on the brink of launching its first Zeli AI Helper, and need a Technical Team Lead to ensure its success. Acting as the 2ic to the CTO, this role is a blend of technical leadership, solution architecture and hands-on development - A mix of building and delivering high-quality technical solutions, managing and prioritising development sprints, architecture and supporting the talented team of Engineers.

As the first Technical Team Lead in the company, you’ll have an opportunity to influence and grow Zeligate’s Engineering culture. You get to help shape how the team will grow, the right processes to implement and all the good coding standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of the technologies and tools used within the team, act as a technical authority, and write efficient, consistent, and maintainable code.

• Team Leadership: Provide effective leadership, foster a positive environment, and mentor team members.

• Project Management: Oversee project execution within scope and time constraints, implementing agile practices.

• Resource Allocation: Optimise productivity and meet deadlines efficiently.

• Code Review and Quality Assurance: Ensure code quality and implement quality assurance processes.

• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments and communicate project status effectively.

• Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements and efficiency gains in the development workflow.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field

• Around 8-10 years of software engineering experience

• Around 1-2 years in a leadership role

• Advanced skills in Python and React/JavaScript frameworks

• AWS serverless and microservices experience

• Experience in event-driven architecture

• Proficient with CI/CD, version control, patterns, and practices

• Familiarity with APIs, Websockets, and UI/UX product knowledge

• Experience in Agile teams and AI technologies is advantageous

Interview Process

• Initial discussion to learn about Zeligate and the role.

• Technical assessment, including a practical coding challenge and a review session with their engineering team.

• Interview with Founder/CTO Denver, focusing on technical leadership and team management.

• Final meeting with the board and key stakeholders.
