With over a decade of experience and recent acquisition of their main competitor, FireMate, Uptick is poised for continued growth and innovation.

They are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Python) to join the dynamic team in Melbourne responsible for maintaining and enhancing Uptick’s robust software platform, collaborating with the frontend team, and occasionally engaging with customers and product owners to define and implement business requirements.

Projects vary from feature-based enhancements to infrastructure refactoring and uplift projects. Examples include multi-tenancy improvements, service layer optimisations, CI/CD enhancements, IoT integration, and platform interoperability.

Role Responsibilities…

As Senior Backend Engineer at Uptick, you will provide:

• Software Development: Using your strong understanding of Python, build software using best practice web-based software.

• Proactive Problem-solving: Be driven by reports, you will identify problems, and provide potential solutions to the team.
